Peter Tosh
Winston Hubert McIntosh, más conocido por su nombre artístico Peter Tosh (también llamado Stepping Razor -Cuchilla Andante) nació en Kingston, Jamaica, el 9 de octubre 1944 y fue un influyente músico, cantante y compositor de reggae. A principios de los sesenta conoció a Bob Marley y Bunny Wailer a través de su profesor de guitarra, Joe Higgs y enseñó a Bob a tocar la guitarra. En 1962 formaron el grupo de ska The Wailing Wailers con Junior Braithwaite y las cantantes Beverly Kelso y Cherry Smith en el coro. The Wailing Wailers tuvieron un gran éxito con su primer single, "Simmer Down," y grabaron más singles de éxito antes de que Braithwaite, Kelso y Smith dejaron el grupo a finales de 1965. Marley pasó gran parte de 1966 con su madre en Estados Unidos, pero regresó a Jamaica a principios de 1967 con un renovado interés en la música y una nueva espiritualidad. McIntosh y Bunny se habían convertido ya al movimiento rastafari. Poco después, redujeron el nombre de su grupo a The Wailers.
